SEMICON Japan Seminar - December 5, 2008

Approximately 75 attendees participated in the SEC/N-SEMI hosted a seminar at SEMICON Japan 2009 entitled: “Used Equipment: Changing Times.” The seminar was another in a series of ongoing seminars offered by SEC/N and SEMI at SEMICON shows around the world.

The program’s co-moderators were Mr. Gary Alexander of AMC Intl. LLC, previously SEC/N’s Executive Director, and Mr. Shuji Kumazawa of GE GES Japan.

Featured speakers included:

Mr. Toshio Kato, Director of Success International Corporation. Mr. Kato will be speaking on “Advanced LSI Production with Mix & Match of New and Used Equipment.”
Mr. Gary Robertson, General Manager of the KT Certified Division of KLA-Tencor Corporation. Mr. Robertson will be speaking on “Balancing Cost, Quality, Extendibility and Support for Tooling Up/Re-tooling 200mm Fabs.”
Mr. Tim Hayden, President/CEO of Rite Track Corporation. Mr. Hayden will be speaking on “The Benefits and Opportunities Associated with the Acquisition of SEC/N by SEMI.”

A question/answer session and panel discussion will followed the presentations.

Based on the information presented at the seminar, SEMI has posted an article on the SEMI website (www.semi.org) entitled “New Dynamics Changing the Secondary Equipment Market.”
