Events Calendar SEMICON Korea 2008 - January 30 - February 1, 2008
t is estimated that more than 40,000 people attended the show which featured over 1,500 booths. The Show occupied the Atlantic & Pacific Halls of the COEX Center in Seoul.

Mr. Yan Yee Yaw represented GE and spoke on the “Asian Secondary Market.” Mr. Bruce Kim, of Surplus GLOBAL, presented on the “Korean Secondary Market.”

The
21st anniversary of SEMICON Korea was very well attended and a credit to
the efforts of SEMI Korea President Mr. H.D. Cho and his staff. Special
thanks to Henny Kim and JoAnn Lee for their support of the SEC/N-SEMI
“Used Equipment Forum.”

would like to recognize and thank all of its seminar sponsors:
The
seminar was opened with a welcome from SEMI by Mr. H.D. Cho. He was
followed SEC/N’s Executive Director, Gary Alexander, who welcomed the
attendees on behalf of SEC/N and opened the seminar with a presentation
on the “Global Semiconductor Secondary Market.” Mr. Alexander also
served as the seminar’s moderator.
And
Mr. Mark Ding, the President of SEMI China, spoke on “The Growth of the
China Secondhand Equipment Market.”
Over
90 attendees participated in the seminar. All presentations were made in
English, with the exception of the presentation by Mr. Kim, which was
made in Korean. Simultaneous interpretation was available to all of the
attendees.
The
first day of the Show was concluded with a very elegant President’s
Reception, complete with a sit down dinner. A Korean drumming
performance provided the entertainment.|
