Directly following the Annual Meeting, the remainder of the Conference was open by invitation to non-member companies. The remainder of the morning session included a series of presentations from organizations outside of SEC/N. In order of presentation they were: MEPTEC, CREATE, U.S Department of Commerce, Arizona Department of Commerce, Arizona Technology Council, and the Arizona Nanotechnology Cluster.

The afternoon session of the Conference featured presentations from Mr. Morry Marshall of Semiconductor Partners and Mr. Ned Minor of Minor & Brown PC. Mr. Marshall presented a forecast of the semiconductor market with specific emphasis on used equipment. Mr. Minor spoke on the “Deciding to Sell Your Business.” Both presentations were enjoyed and well received by the attendees.

The remainder of the Conference focused on the future of the semiconductor industry’s secondary market. Specific areas of discussion included the significantly reduced proactive involvement of device manufacturers, refurbisher and OEM interface, the market’s global evolution, and the future of third party roles. Specific emphasis was placed on the need and ways for SEC/N to continue to evolve along with the rest of the market segments.

A post –Conference dinner was held at Aunt Chilada’s Restaurant where attendees dined on Mexican food, cervezas, margaritas and enjoyed a relaxed evening of socializing and networking.
